EVOLUTION OF THE OXFORD SHOE: BEST UNDER $500

Classic brogues, derby and oxford shoes have mutated in recent years to include patterns ranging from floral to camo along with interesting fabrications.

We saw Mark McNairy innovate the brogue category back in 2011 with pop-colored soles, and Cole Haan took it a step further early in 2012 with their neon colored Nike Lunar soles. Since then, there came a parade of brands adding their own twists to these traditional men’s shoes.

We’ve highlighted some of our favorites from the bold to the clean and versatile for spring 2013 — all under $500:
