AppJam+, an after school program focused on STEM education, hosted their 2nd Spring Program and Showcase Finale Event, with 24 presenting teams from 5 different programs. This big showcase was hosted at the Newkirk Alumni Center at UC Irvine with friends and families supporting in the sidelines.
Almost 120 middle school students from different Orange County schools participated. Students developed their own mobile application and software within a few weeks.
We would like to congratulate all the participants and the winners of the program, including first place winner Team Saffire, second place winners Coding Wolves, and third place winners Fantastic Four. Doing this within a span of 8 to 10 weeks is an impressive feat! Ties.com donated circuits which allowed the students to engineer gadgets in over 100+ different ways.
