Our company culture is important to us, and we try to do something every few months that gets everyone together in a non-work setting. On those rare occasions that we actually get out of the office, we like to do it big. How big? 5k run big.
Last November, we signed ourselves up for the Orange County Color Run, and decked out our race shirts with some nifty Ties.com iron-ons. On race day, we showed up in our team shirts, coupled with some tutus, fun socks, and even war paint (hey, we had to do it right).
We gathered the troops and ran, walked, skipped, and cartwheeled through the Orange County Color Run (aka the Happiest 5k on the Planet), where we were showered (and coated) in a rainbow of powder and glitter. And how do you end a successful morning of getting your entire office out for some healthy physical activity? With buffalo wings. Lots of buffalo wings.
