Last week, the Wild Attire Warriors headed to Long Beach, California for a company outing that consisted of throwing clay, fried chicken, and good times had by all. As we near our busiest time of the year (hey Black Friday & Cyber Monday!) the team took some time to bond and try something new all together.
We started off at Clay on First, down in the East Village of Long Beach. We spent the morning learning how to throw our own bowls, vases, cups, and plates. Each of us had four different tries to master the art of pottery. Trust us when we say it’s a lot harder than it looks. Our awesome teacher Sara helped us get the hang of it, and everyone had a great time trying out a new skill. We’ll get to pick up our fired and glazed pieces in just a few weeks.
Then we headed to Sweet Dixie Kitchen, just a short walk down the street. The quaint cafe is famous for their delicious homemade biscuits and refreshing lemonade. After a morning hard at work at the wheel, it was great to dig into some Southern comfort foods together.
As we gear up for the holidays, it was great to take some time together as a team and take a breather before our busy season. We’re ready for you, Christmas!
