    Men's Neckties

Neckties initially began as an accessory, adding a bit of formality to an outfit. These days ties are used as a fashion accessory and to express personal style. They're worn formally, trendily, and casually and are used to add a pop of color, a professional touch, or stylish flair. We have an enormous selection of ties to choose from and we are certain you'll find what you're looking for.

Over the years, the different styles of ties have increased exponentially, with the re-inception of skinny ties, long ties, extra long ties, and clip-on ties. There's something for everyone and every style. You may be more of the laid back, casual type so a skinny tie would work best for you. Maybe your style is more traditional and mature, then a standard long tie is great for you. Some of us can't tie a tie for the life of us, and if that's you, then check out our stylish, no-fail, clip-on ties. And if having every type of tie available isn't enough for you, we have an incredible amount of prints, colors and fabrics as well.

When wearing a tie, people tend to forget that the tie is often the centerpiece of their ensemble. For this reason, it's important to choose your tie wisely. Always choose a tie that fits your personality, works with what you're wearing and is pleasing to the eyes of those seeing it. A tie is a powerful accessory, so always tie carefully. Matching your shirt to your tie is very important. It's very easy to simply throw on a tie you love over any old shirt, but there a few things you should know. Polka dots, small paisley print and stripes all work on a thin, pinstripe shirt. Solids and matching stripes look great on a bengal stripe shirt. Plaids, polka dots, and florals are very stylish on a windowpane shirt and gingham, solids, small prints are excellent on a plaid shirt.

Our inventory is stocked with all types of men's ties, neckties, skinny ties, bow ties, boys ties, and novelty ties, so choosing might be a bit difficult, but lucky for you, our website allows you to shop for exactly what you want, be it a specific pattern, color, or fabric, shopping with Ties.com is easy and efficient.

How to Tie the Double Windsor Knot

      About the Double Windsor Knot

We’re going to let you in on a secret — the Double Windsor Knot is a myth. In fact, it’s nothing more than an incorrect name for the Windsor Knot. This error originated from a confusion related to the Half-Windsor Knot — specifically that you “double” the Half-Windsor Knot in order to create a (Double) Windsor Knot. Regardless of what name you call it, if you’re looking for a large, triangular knot that’s the ultimate classic, the Windsor is just the thing.

      Double Windsor Knot Step-by-Step Guide

      Step 1

      STEP 1

Begin with the wide end of the tie on the right and the small end on the left. The tip of the small end should rest slightly above your belly-button (this will vary based on your height and the length & thickness of your tie). Only move the active (wide) end.
      Step 2

      STEP 2

Move the wide end over the small end to the left.
      Step 3

      STEP 3

Up into the neck loop from underneath.
      Step 4

      STEP 4

      Down to the left.
      Step 5

      STEP 5

Around the back of the small end to the right.
      Step 6

      STEP 6

Up to the center, towards neck loop.
      Step 7

      STEP 7

Through the neck loop and down to the right.
      Step 8

      STEP 8

Across the front to the left.
      Step 9

      STEP 9

Up into the neck loop from underneath.
      Step 10

      STEP 10

Pull it down through the loop you've just created in the front.
      Step 11

      STEP 11

Tighten the knot by pulling down on the wide end. Slide the knot up & adjust.
